AI
Mario has worked with neural networks and data analytics since the mid-1990s. His doctoral research examined the use of AI to detect synthetic identity fraud using social media graphs and natural language processing.
Board-level AI oversight needs a perspective that can move between governance and the technology underneath it.
MBG Advisory works with boards that want an independent view of whether their AI oversight stands up to scrutiny.
MBG Advisory is led by Dr Mario Bojilov, an AI and governance professional with more than 30 years’ experience across AI, risk, and governance.
His work spans the technical, commercial, assurance, and governance questions that sit underneath board decisions about AI.
Mario has worked across financial services, government, higher education, healthcare, utilities, and other complex organisations in Australia and internationally.

The difficult part is rarely finding more information.
It is knowing what matters.
The value is in the combination. Board decisions about AI rarely fit neatly inside one professional discipline.
Mario has worked with neural networks and data analytics since the mid-1990s. His doctoral research examined the use of AI to detect synthetic identity fraud using social media graphs and natural language processing.
His background includes audit, continuous assurance, data analytics, information systems control, and digital risk, including work in financial services and other regulated environments.
His work focuses on the questions boards need to ask, the decisions they need to make, and the evidence that allows them to see whether those decisions remain aligned with what is happening.
AI oversight sits between the board and a large amount of technical, operational, commercial, and risk detail.
The board should not have to become a technical committee. Nor should it have to accept every summary at face value.
MBG Advisory provides an independent second set of eyes, translating what is happening underneath the decision into the questions and evidence that matter at board level.
The aim is not more governance. It is clearer oversight.
